When you upload images in WordPress they will be automatically resized according to the defined image dimensions and thumbnails sizes of the WordPress theme you are using. In the following you can see the image dimensions of MH Magazine – we would recommend to always upload images with a size of at least 1030 x 438px – this will ensure that WordPress can generate the thumbnails:
- 1030 x 438px (Thumbnails for the MH Slider widget)
- 678 x 381px (Thumbnails for featured images on posts, archives and widgets)
- 678 x 509px (Thumbnails for custom widgets)
- 326 x 245px (Thumbnails for archives and widgets) this is the size that the posts’ “featured image” will be reduced to on the MH custom post widget (on homepage for example) This means we need to only use images of size at least 326×245 as featured images for posts.
- 80 x 60px (Thumbnails for widgets)
If you have previously already uploaded images on your website or embedded images into your posts and pages, it may happen that these images don’t appear as required and that your images are inconsistent in size. Reading and following these tutorials should help you solve your issues:
